The Cooperation among Estonian Logistics Cluster Enterprises Begins to Bear Fruit

The transportation enterprises’ joint effort to promote Estonia globally is showing the first fruits - as a result of the coordinated action of the Port of Tallinn and the Tallinn Airport, a deal was cemented with Happy Cruises from Spain planning to start their Baltic Sea cruises specifically from Tallinn this summer.

In addition to the Port of Tallinn and the Tallinn Airport, a third Cluster enterprise, CF&S Estonia, an agency providing shipping services and freight forwarding, played an important role with its contribution as its initial recommendation to pick Tallinn as the point of departure for the cruise trips evoked positive interest in the Spanish cruise company.

A fourth Cluster enterprise, ESTEVE, is responsible for the cruise passengers’ luggage transfer between the airport and harbour.

In view of cruise ship calls, the Port of Tallinn secures the third position among the Baltic Sea ports right after Copenhagen and St. Petersburg. The Port of Tallinn expects the number of cruise passengers to reach 420 000 in this year.

As for the Tallinn Airport, the cruise passengers flying to Tallinn mean five flights chartered by the Spanish company added already during this summer.
