Cluster wants a large distribution centre of Chinese goods in Estonia
Estonian economy and communications minister Juhan Parts met on Monday in Beijing with Chinese transport minister Yang Chuantang.
The practical possibilities of transport cooperation of the two states were discussed at the meeting. China is interested in finding solutions to getting its goods to Europe.
Parts stressed that Estonia with her developed logistics possibilities offers good and economic solutions or transport of Chinese goods. The Estonian Logistics Cluster still wants a large distribution centre of Chinese goods in Estonia that would service the market region of Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Russia, CIS and Central Asia that has 300 million consumers. "We want to see more specific Chinese private investments in Estonia," said Parts.
The Chinese minister introduced his government's 12-point plan for economic cooperation with Europe and explained the plans of Chinese investment banks on allocating 10 million USD for investments to Europe.
Parts met also with HNA Group council chairman Adam Tan.
