The Port of Tallinn has the distinction of being the biggest income tax payer of 2012, an annual list shows.

Last year, the self-styled "port of good news" paid in 8.8 million euros into state coffers. The сhief executive of the state-owned company, Ain Kaljurand, said publicly owned companies have high expectations and that "optimizing taxes" has never been in the plans.

The full annually published list can be seen at Äripäev.
