There are 12 certified airports in Estonia. The airports in Tallinn, Tartu, Kuresaare, Kärdla and Pärnu as well as the City Hall Helicopter Field are open for international traffic.

The Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport is situated just 4 km from the city centre of Tallinn, capital of Estonia and is the largest airport in terms of facilities and traffic. In 2013, 1.9 million passengers were handled at Tallinn Airport. Over 98% of the passengers travelled on international flights and 87.4% on scheduled services. Additionally, the airport handled 37 856 aircraft movements and 20 941 tons of cargo.

The regional airports in Estonia including Tartu, Kuressaare, Kärdla and Pärnu handle both international and domestic traffic as well as seasonal charter operations.

The scheduled airlines operating to Estonian airports include Estonian Air, RyanAir, Lufthansa, Finnair, AirBaltic, SmartLynx, Aeroflot, easyJet, Norwegian, FlyBe Nordic, Onur Air, LOT Polish Airlines.
