Port of Sillamäe is expanding warehousing

Port of Sillamäe is evolving from the liquid cargo port into a multifunctional universal port. If the proportion of dry goods in the cargo turnover of the port was only 5% 7 years ago, then in 2016 the share of such goods has already reached almost 30%.

In 2016 there were built 4 new indoor warehouses for dry cargoes with a total area of 16 000 m2. Total area of indoor warehouses of the multi-functional Terminal Silsteve reaches already 54 800 square meters. For the handling of cargoes there in the warehouses are conveyors and other loading equipment.

In addition to indoor warehouses there are 82 hectares of open storage spaces for handling and storage the bulk and general cargo and also containers, and 30 hectares for vehicles and other RO-RO cargo.

The presence of such a large amount of storage space allows the port of Sillamäe to satisfy all the needs of its partners, whether it is here dealing both with processing of export and import or transit cargo.
