Estonian Railways Concluded a Wagon Fleet Co-operation Agreement at TransRussia
Estonian Railways and Transgarant concluded a co-operation agreement at the transportation fair held in Moscow. The agreement gives the Estonian Railways an opportunity to use the wagon fleet of Transgarant and to offer a client transport rates in both Estonia and Russia through Estonian harbours.
Mr. Jaanus Paas, Chairman of the Management Board of EVR Cargo, a subsidiary of Estonian Railways, assured that agreement with Transgarant is essential in creating best possible solutions for the customers. "Due to increased volumes, we are in need of larger wagon fleet for carriage of goods, enabling us to optimise the use of resources during the busiest season and to ensure best possible solutions for our customers," Mr. Paas explained.
“In fact, our co-operation with Transgarant has been going on for a long time already. In the past they used to lease our wagons and for now the tables have been turned. By tradition, TransRussia is a place where to meet up with good business partners and renew the relationships,” Mr. Kaido Simmermann, Chairman of the Management Board of the Estonian Railways, added.
“Transgarant is a partner you can always rely on,” Mr. Alexey Grom, Vice President of Transgarant, assured upon signing the agreement.
Trangarant is part of the FESCO Transport Group and is the second largest privately owned railway operator in Russia with its close to 16 thousand wagons.
