The air traffic service handled 180,402 flights in Estonian airspace in the first 11 months of the year 2012 - 6.6 percent more than in the same period year 2011.
It has been a continuous trend since the early 1990s, and most - over two-thirds - of the flights in Estonian airspace are overflights, reported Postimees.
But the number of international flights departing from or arriving in Estonia was up the most - 30.2 percent.
Domestic flights grew 6.3 percent and overflights by 0.8 percent.Compared to 1993, last year's numbers were 410 percent greater; compared to 2000, they were up 125 percent.
