When it comes to the open wagons, they will be rented to a Lithuanian company after an additional technical inspection.
"We have taken delivery of all the 300 platforms and they are being entered into the register now. After registration we will deliver them to the lessee to a station on the Polish-Belarus border," EVR Cargo CEO Raul Toomsalu told BNS on Friday.
"By now we have delivered 264 railcars, by the end of October we will deliver all the 300 railcars to the Finnish company," Toomsalu said.
EVR Cargo in June entered into a 17.8 million euro contract to purchase 300 container platforms and 200 open wagons.
Toomsalu said that EVR Cargo has not accepted the open wagons yet as it wants to conduct an additional technical inspection of the cars.
"The railcars are waiting at the plant and we are planning to send technical inspectors there next week," he said.
The open wagons will be rented out to a Lithuanian company under a contract that has already been signed.
