Estonian companies at the TransitKazakhstan exhibition will present to their partners the best logistic solutions

Today, October 4th, Almata, Kazakhstan, the 20th Jubilee International Exhibition “Transport and Logistics” starts its work.

Among the exhibitors of TransitKazakhstan are over 100 companies from Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland and Estonia which will offer  to specialists the services on transportation, warehousing, customs formalities and cargo insurance, warehouse equipment and technologies for transport industry.

Among the National Stands at the Exhibition there will be the Estonian Stand which comprises 8 companies from Estonia, namely, seaports – Port of Tallinn, Port of Sillamäe, Paldiski Northern Port ; the main railway companies – Estonian Railways and EVR Cargo, the major port operator Transiidikeskus, as well as Intopex Forward and Narva Logistics, the companies rendering services in transport and logistics

The Embassy of Estonia in Kazakhstan provides active help to transport companies. It is already a tradition that Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia in Kazakhstan Jaan Reinhold will participate in the official opening ceremony of the Exhibition. In today’s economic situation the companies by joint efforts wish to offer their clients and partners the best logistics solutions as utmost logic. They intend to confirm their slogan “Estonia is your Logi(sti)cal choice”.

Within the framework of the Exhibition there will be run the International Transport and Logistics Conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the TransitKazakhstan Exhibition. Over 100 executives of railways, ports and terminals, railway operators, as well as transport, logistics and forwarding companies and companies of cargo owners will take part in the Confereence. Estonia will be represented by Deniss Borodich who will speak on the subject “Estonia is a reliable partner in logistics”.

Jan Reinhold, Ambassador of Estonia to Kazakhstan visited the official opening ceremony of the exhibition and he pointed out that Estonia with its well developed infrastructure could not stay away from the new ”silk road”. The achievements of Estonia in the development of electronic services were stressed by other VIP at the Exhibition. “We can offer our high quality services and major achievements in IT. E-commerce is conquering the world, and Estonia wishes and has the possibilities to offer profitable solutions for our partners from Kazakhstan” – said Jan Reinhold.

The high level of E-services development in Estonia was stressed also by Yuri Lavrinenko, Vice-Chairman of the Union of transport and logistics organizations of Kazakhstan. “Kazakhstan is now actively developing and implementing E-services. We take into consideration the experience of Estonia and accumulate all the best”.

During the discussion of E-services the Estonian companies demonstrated to the guests of the stand as an example the project of the “green corridor” of the Northern Port of Paldiski for cargoes to cross the Estonian-Russian border in a simplified way.

The Estonian Railways will also implement new E-services in 2017. Toomas Uiboupin, commercial director of the Company, gave information about it.

Within the framework of the Exhibition the conference was run and the importance of the development of E-services in logistics was discussed widely at the event. Denis Borodich, Riigikogu deputy,  spoke about the potentials of Estonia in this field – the E-state, the development of E-services in transport and logistics.

“The work at the Stand is very active, there are a lot of visitors who are interested in potentials of Estonian companies, especially in the field of E-services” - said Tatjana Yeriomina, Organizer of the National Stand and the member of the Board BaltMarketConsult OU

According to Yeriomina in the nearest future in Almaty the Honorary Consulate of Estonia in Kazakhstan with Vagif Khuseinov at the head will start its work. “There was a meeting with Vagif Khuseinov and the Estonian companies. The Honorary consulate will assist the Estonian companies in realization of their projects. Thus, by joint efforts of business, the embassy and consulate  the conditions are created  for realizing major joint projects”- underlined  Yeriomina.

TransitKazakhstan is supported by the Transport Committee of  the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat Almaty, NK Kazakhstan Temir Zoly  Ltd, “Kazlogistics” Association of transport workers of Kazakhstan,  Kazakhstan Association of Carriers and wagon operators, and the Association of National Forwarders of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
