A large bulker in Sillamäe

November 5 the biggest so far bulker Salandi, on which was loaded 62 000 tons exported from Estonia of barley, left the port of Sillamäe. The port of destination is Port Said in Egypt.

 The vessel is built in 1999, her length is 225 m, width 32.2 m, draught 13 m and she is sailing under the flag of Panama.

Grain loading was carried by the multi-functional Terminal Silsteve. A large ship loading went splendidly by a new shiploader Samson, acquired this year, which productivity is 16 000 - 20 000 tons per day. The grain was delivered on the quay by over 100 20-ton dump trucks, which made a total of over 3000 trips.

But the largest vessel at all, loaded in the port of Sillamäe, is the oil tanker Seavoyager. The dimensions of this vessel are: length 274 m, width of 48 m and draught 16 m. The deadweight of this vessel is 160 000 tons.
